What Other Anglers Say about Fish For Free

Randy Howell recommends Fish For FreeRANDY HOWELL, BASS Pro Angler, Bassmaster Classic QualifierFish For Free 2 is a necessity for the tournament angler who wants to learn the business and marketing side of fishing.
I have spent several months with the author, Scott Rauber, helping turn this into an information filled booklet for the serious tournament angler. Every fisherman has spent lots of time, effort, and money to become a better angler, but how many have invested in learning the business side of fishing? To get sponsorship in the ever-increasing world of great anglers, you have to set yourself apart. Fish For Free Volume II gives you those key elements needed to make you a total package angler.
Everyone can catch fish, but not everyone can market himself for sponsorship... until now. Fish For Free Volume I gave a lot of the basic things needed to get started. Fish For Free Volume II helps you take it to the next level.

Debra Hengst, WBT Pro AnglerDebra Hengst Professional Angler, Women’s Bassmaster TourWith the announcement from ESPN/ BASS that a new Women’s Tour was now in place, and with the rising costs to compete, entry fees, gas etc., I was happy to have found someone that had already done all the legwork and research and compiled it all together in 2 very easy to read e-books on how to secure sponsorships.
I highly recommend anyone pursuing the competitive sport of bass fishing to purchase his products.

Secret Weapon Lures, Joe Haubenreich, PresidentScott Rauber has figured it out, and he offers excellent advice on how to get sponsorships through his two booklets.

Craig DeFronzo, Micro Munch JigsFirst off, I have to say that I was totally impressed by the original work and now the 2nd edition is like an exclamation point. No stone is left unturned and the sponsorship letter is just some extra oomph to make this gem even more polished. This was a nice job, often a sequel is overkill but in this case it actually strengthens to goal that Scott outlines.
This is for all of you guys who have any questions about getting sponsored — you should read both of these books so you have a good idea about how things work in the real world and how you can improve your chances by approaching sponsors the right way!

One of the best things I have done since fishing competitively is purchasing How To Get Sponsored For Tournaments books. With this fish for free formula, I have acquired five sponsorships.
Having three of my open event entry fees paid for is like cash in hand. His book has helped me to convince others that I am worth investing in. I look forward to this fishing season more than past years, because I have achieved sponsorship.
As far as I am concerned this book has a place in my tackle as much as my line and baits.
Rauber has done an excellent job in presenting information in a progressive fashion that walks the reader through the process of acquiring sponsors. One thing that stands out to me is the [Volume II] section “The Fishing Industry and Sponsorship.” It tells me right where to go and not where to waste my time. Honestly, I like the marketing sections just as much. I feel that this would help someone who has no idea about sponsorships and will also help those who do. Bar none, this has provided me with the must effective information I have used to date. I am very impressed!

Fish For Free 2 is the most advanced sponsorship book that I have read to increase sponsorships on all levels. This eBook is essential to securing long term deals with a variety of sponsors. Great Info!

Jarrett Edward, Pro Angler, BASS Elite Series

I wanted to thank you for you product. I have had your books for a few months and never applied them. However, after giving your recommendations some thought, in as little as a week I was able to pick up seven small businesses, local and abroad, as my sponsors.
While I am not a big time pro that you see on TV every week I am benefiting just the same. I took a few hours to solicit and was able to pickup sponsors for tackle, clothing and marine equipment. Man this is too easy.
I want to tell everyone I meet about your program. It really works! The more and more I realize how simple it is to promote myself, the more I want to do it.
Thank you again for sending me the right stuff!

J. Johnson, McLeansville, NC

If you are a tournament fisherman the title of this book should definitely get your attention! Regardless of whether you fish at the club or professional level this book will open your eyes!
With bass fishing becoming more and more popular every year sponsorships are becoming extremely hard to come by... this book is your answer to sponsorship worries.
I have been a tournament angler for 18 years and have managed to obtain several sponsors, after reading this book I now know what I have been missing. This book will open your eyes like never before about obtaining sponsors.
This is without a doubt the "Sponsorship Bible. Thanks Scott and Great Work!

Bob Popp, NY, BassChamp.com

I appreciate the help your books have given to me. Since landing the Tracker deal last week, I have put together a very thorough and comprehensive sponsorship proposal. I have 3 appointments this coming Monday to give my pitch (2 area theme parks, and a hardwood flooring company that has been advertising heavily on TV). With your outlines and breakdown in detail, I was able to interest these companies by offering annual sponsorship for less than $30.00 a month (actually per tournament, but broke it down by month for easier understanding). Eight sponsors, paying me $385 per year for 16 tournaments will pay for my 2007 entry fees, hotel, and gas. My hopes are that one of these prospects will want to foot the bill for the whole thing, especially if I can bring them a sizeable increase in revenue and they feel sending me to a semi-pro, or pro level would benefit them even more, but if they don’t that’s OK; I only need eight. Anyway, thanks again!

Where do I start? I feel the first order of business is a big heart warmed THANK YOU! I have read FFF and FFF2 over a couple times and it came to light today. I landed a spot with Redneck Pepper! After a couple days of using the Redneck pepper (this stuff actually is good on anything if you want to add some spice and some heat), a lot of thought, and reading the FFF series again, I sent them an email about my interest in their product and some alternative recommendations of advertisement they could pursue, namely, fishing tournaments. It took a while, but today I got a call back and they will sponsor me. We talked for over an hour and not only am I going to be representing Redneck Pepper on my truck, boat, and tournament jersey during this year’s ABA tournament trail, I will also be a distributor for them in the Middle Georgia area. I will be promoting their product at the next level and earning extra income. Scott, again, I want to thank you for your books which helped me in my endeavor towards fishing for free.

How To Get Sponsored For Fishing Tournaments, Volume 2 is loaded with information and answered any questions I had about sponsorships and some I didn’t even know I had. Some people think they may know what it takes to get sponsored, but after reading this I can already see how I can get better. The Sponsor letter is hands-down the best I have ever seen, and is written excellent. Not to mention all the information he gives on how to get sponsored and the sample resume. With all this information it will definitely put you ahead of the normal guy that hasn’t read the FFF2 manual. After sitting down and reading the manual I can say hands- down that this manual is worth its weight in gold! It is jam-packed with information and I can say that it will help me 200% for picking up new sponsors. I don’t want to give out all the secrets because if I did then why would you need to read the manual?

Blake Smith, Soddy Daisy, TN

I wanted to tell you of a great new sponsor I finally picked up after 2 years of negotiations — Ford Foods, makers of Bone Suckin Sauce has joined in and will be paying my entry fees for the 07 season and beyond. This is a great company that makes great products. I wanted to tell you about this, because I feel that if not for you and your help and wisdom, I would not be in the situation I am in now, with sponsors and a web page etc. You have helped me more than you know, in your early conversations with me when we first met. The book and your advice has gotten me to where I can hold my head up and do what needs to be done in this business. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Scott Perratti, CT – The Rockin’ Angler, www.ScottPerratti.com

I ordered your book on how to get sponsored and it worked great. The first letter I sent out was accepted by Ambush Lures and they have added me to their Pro Staff. I am preparing to send more letters and my fishing resume to other company’s to help me reach my goals as a touring pro. Thank you so much for such a great book and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get sponsored.

WBT Pro Angler Christiana BradleyI’ve been fishing tournaments for years, but this year, I took it to the next level and joined the Women’s Bassmaster Tour. I am not a saleswoman and was not looking forward to approaching sponsors. After reading Scott’s eBook, How To Get Sponsored For Fishing Tournaments Vol. 2, my mind was racing with great ideas about who to approach and how. This book is a must for any angler seeking sponsorship. Not only does he provide a sample resume and tips for putting a resume together (which I referenced quite a bit as I wrote my own resume), but it also provides great “outside the box” ideas to help you stand out from the thousands of other applicants sponsors interact with each year. After reading his book, I looked at my endeavor from a completely different perspective. Scott helps you understand that what you are doing is not asking for help, but approaching a mutually beneficial business opportunity. I am a lot more confident going into meetings with potential sponsors because of this. How To Get Sponsored For Fishing Tournaments Vol.1 and Vol. 2 are essential tools when it comes to seeking fishing sponsorship.
